It is my belief that a strong educational foundation and Living Faith attitude are essential for the growth of the Whole Child.
Strong emphasis is placed on building educational values and living everyday of life serving, caring, ministering, and educating others in the way of Jesus Christ.
I believe in collaborative efforts and in having respect for other’s beliefs and values toward education. This is a multi-cultural society that we live in today and it is very important to me to show respect and reverence to others in order for collaborative efforts to become successful.
Educating the future workforce of tomorrow is a Team Effort and collaboration is essential in building the future of the Whole Child.
I believe in Academic Excellence wherein there is no room for the acceptance of failure. Academic Excellence can be achieved by the development of three critical aspects of the Whole Child:
It is important for the child to develop communication skills to learn how to express their ideas, emotions, knowledge, and content effectively. It is important to develop problem-solving skills to learn how to deal with and overcome life’s obstacles and to successfully function in the society of tomorrow. It is important for the child to develop resource management skills to learn how to access information using modern technological resources and stay up-to-date in an ever-evolving global society. It is important for the child to develop time management skills to learn how to make effective use of instructional material through prioritization, conflict resolution, and multi-tasking. These skills are essential to succeed in tomorrow’s careers.
Children need to develop positive attitudes towards learning by the development of a good work and study ethic. Children need to understand that through perseverance and optimism many goals can be accomplished in life. Once children understand that when they place their best foot forward by showing effort and determination giving up will never be an option. Children must also learn to have respect and reverence for their capabilities and those of others to maintain a positive outlook towards learning.

The child and the teacher do not act alone in the learning process and growth of the child. It is important that when trying to develop successful learning foundations of the Whole Child we really need to examine the whole picture. We need to understand that the child is influenced by so many people in their lives so therefore it is essential to gain a partnership with the people in their lives to ensure that the growth of the Whole Child is actually taking place. Partnerships with Parents and administration are very important because together we sculpt and shape what children are learning in the classroom.
Partnerships between teachers and parents are important because parents continue the education at home. Partnerships amongst parents, students, teachers, and the community are important because the community as a whole contributes to the development of the child by what goes on after school hours. Communities that care about the children that live amongst them have afterschool programs that assist them with homework, projects, studying, and help to improve society.
Parents and community members need to maintain communication with teachers, school officials, and administration and vice versa. They need to actively participate as much as they possibly can in school activities or within the school community. These partnerships will go beyond the child’s school years and have the potential to develop into networking opportunities in the future.
It is my philosophy to make every moment, skill learned, attitude felt, and partnership achieved as productive and as fruitful as I possibly can.
