Participation, Teams, and Rules

Participation

Because extra-curricular activites round out an education, students in applicable grades are encouraged to participate in after school sports.

Students in grades 7 and 8 are considered Varsity athletes while students in grades 5 and 6 are considered Junior Varsity (J.V.). Space allowing, students in grade 4 may participate on J.V. teams.

The Track & Field team and Cheer squads are open to all students down to 1st grade and often kindergarden.

Our fall sports teams are:

Rules

St. Margaret Mary School is a member of the Inland Catholic Schools League (ICSL) and abides by the rules and regulations of that organization.

Student athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average in all classes in order to be eligible to participate in sports.

There is a participation fee for each sport. These fees cover league costs and also allow for a team awards banquet at the end of that sport's season. There may also be a fee for purchase of a uniform.

For other information about athletics at St. Margaret Mary School, please contact Mr. Waylynn Senn, our Athletic Director.
