Participation, Teams, and Rules
Participation Because extra-curricular activites round out an education, students in applicable grades are encouraged to participate in after school sports. Students in grades 7 and 8 are considered Varsity athletes while students in grades 5 and 6 are considered Junior Varsity (J.V.). Space allowing, students in grade 4 may participate on J.V. teams. The Track & Field team and Cheer squads are open to all students down to 1st grade and often kindergarden.

Rules St. Margaret Mary School is a member of the Inland Catholic Schools League (ICSL) and abides by the rules and regulations of that organization. Student athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average in all classes in order to be eligible to participate in sports. There is a participation fee for each sport. These fees cover league costs and also allow for a team awards banquet at the end of that sport's season. There may also be a fee for purchase of a uniform.
